The South Carolina Department of Children’s Advocacy encourages everyone to participate in a valuable screener that is made available through a partnership among the South Carolina Department of Mental Health (SCDMH), South Carolina Department of Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse Services (DAODAS) and the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP).

Hope Connects You is a Self-Check Questionnaire that was launched in November of 2020.  This implementation is the first of its kind in the country in that all residents of South Carolina over the age of 18 are eligible to participate.

Those completing a screen will receive a response from a SCDMH or DAODAS staff member who can offer guidance, support, and resources to help connect them with mental health and addiction services.

The screener can be found here:  Hope.ConnectsYou.org

You are not alone. Now more than ever we need to find ways to stay connected with our community. No one should feel alone or without the information, support and help they need.
