The business of the South Carolina Department of Children's Advocacy is open to public review, as is required by the state’s Freedom of Information Act (FOIA).

FOIA requests should be answered without charge when the request will benefit the public interest and requires minimal and/or a reasonable amount of employee time and photocopying expense. Any individual making a FOIA request which will result in a charge shall be notified in advance of the approximate cost for providing the requested information.

• Search/Retrieval Fee: $20.00 per hour
• Redaction/Scanning Fee: $20.00 per hour
• Copies in excess of 25 pages: $0.20 per page
• Postage in excess of $5.00: Actual cost
